My First Homemade Cuban Sandwich

Whew. I stoked the boiler and now  my tummy feels good. The recipe called for making this incredibly delicious sandwich in a panini press or a waffle iron, or pressing it with a foil-wrapped brick. I was far too lazy and hungry go through any of that folderol, besides, I don’t have a panini press or a foil-wrapped brick handy, so I just pressed it down into the hot skillet with a pot lid. It got nice and crispy on the outside, melty on the inside, just like it was supposed to.

Now, I can either write a couple of chapters of Eye of the Storm, or take a nap. Hmmmnn. . . .

Thanks for stopping by. What are you writing about today?
